LeAnn Cranston and Kodiak
Kodiak again worked with 3 different small children in speech therapy. One of the patients was the same child we worked with 2 weeks ago. We just continued working on words and two and three word combinations, ie sit dog. One child was working on following directions and using more words to express himself and what he wants as well as listen. Kodiak was able to demonstrate how he listens when given his obedience commands. We used Kodiak's photo album to have the child answer some questions with correct responses, ie why does Kodiak have on a seat belt, if he is in the grass, is he outside or inside... The third child was autistic and just being close to Kodiak but not touching him gave him a laugh. One adult patient was visited with in a waiting area, this patient was happy to see him and of course we visited with many staff members as well as the Hospital Administrator who was happy to have us there. We were also invited to come out and represent what we do at the hospitals 1 yr anniversay event. I need to check Kodiak and my social calendar for that. Another great day of visits and again Kodiak always lets me know when he is ready to go which appears to be around the hour mark.
