As we were signing in at the front desk of the school for our StoryTails visit, there was a policeman there (sitting on the bench filling out a report or something)who wanted to meet Corky. He told me about how he had been shot while on duty and was in the hospital recently. While he was there (he did not mention which hospital), a yellow lab with the same blue vest as Corky's (Therapy Animals of San Antonio vest) had visited him. He told me how much that had meant to him and how much better he felt after receiving that visit. He liked Corky very much and petted him quite a while. He told Corky that he was a beautiful boy and so soft. It was such a heartwarming story, I had to share it.
